FIDA - Évolution 1

Duration: 64 hours
FIDA – Evolution 1 is a 64-hour course (16 hours theory and 48 hours practical training) over 4 weekends or 16 evenings. The objective is to train instructors who possess the qualifications to teach physical fitness programs, set to music, which incorporate muscle-building exercises; the program includes the following subjects:

FIDA - Évolution 2 (Step)

Duration: 16 hours
Continuing education: 4 credits
FIDA – Evolution 2 picks up where Level 1 left off, and aims at furthering instructors’ knowledge of the principles of teaching Step, i.e. the various choreography techniques and sequences, creation of routines, teaching methods and cueing specific to this

FIDA - Évolution 3 (Flexibility)

Duration: 8 hours
Continuing education: 3 credits
FIDA – Evolution 3 picks up where level 1 left off, and aims at furthering instructors’ knowledge of the principles of teaching flexibility. The training content includes information on the structural anatomy of skeletal muscles, musculoskeletal effects, and methodology of stretching, as well as myths and reality of stretching.

BOOT CAMP

Duration: 8 hours
Continuing education: 3 credits
Boot Camp is a physically intensive fitness training program, set to music, and inspired by the military. This course enables instructors to acquire the essential concepts needed to teach efficient and safe exercises and movements, as well as to develop interval and circuit training programs.

Cardio Hip Hop

Duration: 8 hours
Continuing education: 3 credits
Cardio Hip Hop can be described as a series of exercises set to a Hip Hop style of music. This course enables instructors to acquire the essential concepts needed to master the specific moves associated with this type of dance. Furthermore, we use simple and efficient breakdown methods.

Cardio Latino

Duration: 8 hours
Continuing education: 3 credits
Cardio Latino can be described as a series of exercises set to Latino music. This course enables instructors to acquire the essential concepts needed to master the basics of a few Latino dances, and to recognize and associate various musical styles.

Attention: A level 2 course is also available, which includes more complex choreographies (3 credits).

Cardio Tae-Boxe

Duration: 8 hours
Continuing education: 3 credits
Cardio Tae-Boxe combines movements from aerobics, boxing, and martial arts. This course enables instructors to acquire the essential concepts needed to teach kicking and punching techniques specific to this discipline, while complying with general safety measures.

ENERGIE 55

Duration: 8 hours
Continuing education: 3 credits
Energie 55 offers a series of safe muscle-building, cardiovascular, and flexibility exercises suitable for people 55 years of age and over. This course enables instructors to acquire the essential concepts needed to teach this particular group of people, and includes information on aging effects, as well as the benefits associated with exercises for people of this age group.

ENERGIE YOGA

Duration: 20 hours

ENERGIE YOGA, LEVEL 2

Duration: 12 hours
Continuing education: 3 credits
Prerequisite: Energie Yoga certification. This more complex and detailed course is aimed at furthering your knowledge of yoga positions and philosophy.

EXERCISE STICK

Duration: 8 hours
Continuing education: 3 credits
The Exercise Stick training program demonstrates a series of exercises performed to music and designed to improve muscle endurance, balance and cardiovascular capacity. This program will allow the instructor to develop the skills needed to handle the tool, become familiar with its features, and master the smooth performance of the choreographic routines.

IN SHAPE WITH BABY

Duration: 5 hours
Continuing education: 2 credits
This training program is designed to teach instructors the various muscle and cardiovascular exercises performed with the front carrier or the kangaroo-mother belt to support baby. In addition, the instructor will be shown how to adapt the concepts for training with the baby while observing the safety rules. The instructor will also learn how to use the available equipment, with a view to striking a proper balance between the participants’ workout and the presence of their babies!

INDOOR CYCLING

Duration: 8 hours
Continuing education: 3 credits
IIndoor cycling enables instructors to acquire concepts pertaining to the physiology, anatomy, and biomechanics related to indoor cycling activities. Upon completing this course, instructors are able to teach various indoor cycling techniques, as well as plan the outline of a class and a session. 

Attention: A level 2 training program is also offered, and highlights other training possibilities using various tools and accessories (3 credits).

MULTI-BALL

Duration: 8 hours
Continuing education: 3 credits
Multi-Ball can be described as a series of exercises, set to music, using a stability ball.  This course enables instructors to acquire the essential concepts needed to teach a training class using a ball, which includes cardiovascular, muscle-strengthening, stability, and stretching exercises. The course also includes information on transition methods, safety measures, and teaching techniques pertaining to this discipline.

PILATES MOVEMENT

Duration: 32 hours
Continuing education: 8 credits
This program familiarizes instructors with the basic principles of Pilates. Upon completing this course, instructors are able to teach various basic positions, ensure that participants are executing movements correctly, and elevate awareness of their body

PILATES MOVEMENT, LEVEL 2

Duration: 8 hours
Continuing education: 3 credits
Prerequisite: Pilates Movement certification, level 1. This course picks up where level 1 left off, and aims at furthering instructors’ knowledge of advanced exercises on mattresses, and exercises with balls and elastic bands, as well as teaching techniques for symptomatic people.

SEXIFIT

Duration: 8 hours
Continuing education: 3 credits
Sexifit is offered exclusively to women and provides them with an opportunity to express their femininity through movement and physical fitness. This course enables instructors to acquire the essential concepts needed to develop choreographies in line with the course’s objective. Instructors will learn about the specifics of the Sexifit style, and how to choose appropriate lively music in order to merge body self-expression and training.
